Whether you work with us on a one-off assignment, a specific project or ongoing support, our sourcing activities generally follow the approach below.
01 — Understand the Requirement
A sourcing requirement may look clear on paper, but technical terms, specifications and engineering requirements can sometimes be interpreted differently by different people. We therefore take time to clarify the requirement from the technical, commercial and operational perspectives before moving into supplier research.
02 — Identify & Prequalify Suppliers
We research the market to identify and prequalify potential manufacturers and suppliers, using available industry, online and local sources. The focus is on filtering surface-level information and identifying candidates with sufficient relevance and credibility to justify further engagement.
03 — Execute Locally
Once relevant suppliers have been identified, we move from research to direct China-side engagement.
We manage the China-side communication and sourcing activities required to move the requirement forward. Depending on the assignment, this may include supplier communication, technical clarification, quotation coordination, negotiation, factory visits, supplier follow-up and issue escalation.
04 — Support the Procurement Decision
Once supplier information, technical discussions and commercial details have been established, we help turn the findings into a clear basis for procurement decisions.
We compare the relevant options, highlight key differences, limitations, risks and commercial considerations, and clarify what each option means for the final purchase decision.
The final procurement decision remains with your team.
05 — Follow Through
Our support does not necessarily end when a supplier is selected. Where required, we can continue to support the China-side execution of the order through production and delivery.
This may include order follow-up, production progress tracking, coordination with the supplier, quality or inspection follow-up, shipment coordination and issue escalation, helping keep the process moving from purchase order to delivery.
